We are holding our first PCA Regional Volleyball Tournament (American Style) on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at Core Volleyball Club in Hillsborough, NJ. The registration is now open. Please note that we have the capacity to allow the maximum of 10 teams into the tournament. The acceptance into the tournament will be based on the order of submissions received.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

We have nine teams competing in the tournament. They will be divided randomely into three groups. Complete information will be provided at the ground. Below is the tournament timetable.

8:00 AM - Breakfast

8:30 AM - Registration

9:00 AM - Games Start

12:30 PM - Lunch

1:30 PM - Games Resume

4:00 PM - Finals

5:15 PM - Awards Ceremony

5:30 PM - Happy Hour

6:00 PM - Dinner

8:00 PM - Event Ends

 

General Information

  1. It is the captain's responsibility to know their team's standing in the tournament. ONLY captains can ask scorer about the team standing (to avoid crowd at score table).

  2. ONLY the team captain is allowed to speak on behalf of the team to the referee in dispute or argument situations during the game.

  3. In case of any dispute or disagreement, the game referee's decision is final.

  4. Only up to two non Kadwa Patel players are allowed on a team.

  5. Maximum two teams from guest state will be allowed.

  6. The NCAA Molten volleyball with 4.6lbs air pressure will be used for the tournament.

  7. Maximum 10 teams will be allowed for the tournament. It will be based on first 10 registrations.

  8. Minimum 7 players required for the team.

  9. The registration will be considered once you mail the registration forms with fees.

  10. It is an indoor volleyball tournament so please wear your safety gear.

  11. Each player required to fill out the attached waiver form and sign it (No need to mail, please bring it on the day of the tournament).

  12. Each team is required to provide 2 names for referee and line man when they are not playing.

  13. All teams must arrive before 9:00am otherwise they will be disqualified for the 1st game.

  14. ABSOLUTLEY NO SPITTING OF PAN PARAG, TABACCO, ETC., AND THROWING EMPTY PACKS ON THE FLOOR OR ON THE PREMISES. PLEASE USE THE GARBAGE CANS. THE TEAM WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF A PLAYER OR ANY PERSON ASSOCIATED WITH A TEAM IS FOUND VIOLATING THIS RULE.

 

Rules and Regulations

Each game in the tournament will be played in accordance to the rules outlined below. Team captains will be responsible for understanding and explaining the rules to all of their team members.

  1. Each game will be played to 25 points, up to 30min max and points count continuously (Only 1st round all games are played to 21points or up to 20min max).

  2. The team that wins the coin toss may either elect to serve or select the court.

  3. The ball must be served from behind the line after receiving a signal from the referee.

  4. When serving, the player must toss the ball before hitting.

  5. When serving, if the ball touches the net and falls inbound, the serving team gets a point.

  6. During all games, if the ball falls on the line while servicing or during the play it will be considered as inbound.

  7. Setting and spiking is allowed.

  8. Blocking will not be counted as a part of three hits.

  9. During a play, crossing a center line or touching a net with any part of the body will be considered as a foul.

  10. Only use of hands and forearms will be allowed, hitting with any other parts of body will consider as a foul.

  11. Teams will be allowed to change player’s positions as needed throughout the game; rotation is not required.

  12. In each game both teams will be allowed 3 time-outs of 1 minute each which the teams can use to substitute players, discussion or regrouping on strategy or injury timeout.
